Alligator Surprize

"Alligator Surprise" by Karen Remus (c) 2019
Marker on paper, 8.5"x11"

Upon viewing this image, a friend asked what had surprised this alligator.

Answer:  I think it got into some roiling, fermented, root smut in the bog.

One more thing... "Surprize" with a "z" is an old spelling, while "Surprise" with an "s"
is modern and more acceptable, according to some sources. I like it better with a "z."

If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Karen

More mining into my old sketchbooks today. As explained in the second frame above, the assignment was to render a movie in 16 frames without any words, but I stopped after one frame.  Call me lazy.  I'm just a one-frame-comic kinda gal.

Can you guess what movie I was trying to depict?
