Dear Readers,
Thank you for your patience during my dry spell. I all appreciate the concern of those of you who were worried (Pesh).
Not to worry! I had been busy collaborating on a documentary, along with my co-worker, Gary, a film buff, and my husband, Tom, also a film buff, who works at a separate but related organization and has mega experience with Camtasia, the software used to produce this five-minute film.
Our department had been charged with creatively and amusingly introducing ourselves to the organization as a whole. As we saw it, our choices were to: 1) make a video, or 2) make fools of ourselves on stage. We chose the former.

Excellent work! I love your documentary.. It took me on a roller-coaster of emotion.. I laughed, I cried.. I questioned my religious views and my upbringing.. and now, I know I am a better person because of it... Most importantly, though.. it shows that librarians.. are people too.. You guys are so much more than just the people who tell us we are talking too loud on our cell phones and/or who help us clear the occasional jam in the printer.. and I can't even begin to think about what courage it took for Amanda to make such a personal statement (..i.e. 16 year old girl/10 year old boy) ..Bravo!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, as always, for your thoughtful comments, dear Pesh. You give me hope!
ReplyDeleteI can't pretend to be unbiased, but that was just superb!
ReplyDeleteBTW, who's the hot chick wearing purple?
Thank you! To answer your question, in the film, two chicks wear purple: Amie and Kathy--the hot chick contenders. In the intro photos, I wear purple, so in that realm, I must be the hot chick. It depends on your perspective. BTW, who's the silent, dark-haired, bearded, hot dude in the credits, waving and mugging for the camera?
ReplyDeleteIDK..? I thought it was Jesus?? ..Lol
DeleteSo did he. (just kidding)
